Here are some of the members of our team:
Truman Cunningham: The Director of Project Ezra
Truman is one of the founders of the project, and has worked with Michael since November of 1984. He is the father of 8 children, the husband of Myrna, and an elected "senator" of the Autonomous Regional Government of the Atlantic Coast North in Nicaragua. Truman spent almost a month in Israel in 1997 studying Biblical Culture. He is a well respected leader of the Miskito people, and one of the wisest men we know!
Augusto Vicente: Project Ezra Superintendent
Augusto is the teacher who came to us in 1985 asking for help in starting a school for refugee children. He has worked faithfully since those days, and is very effective in leading our 59 teachers. Augusto is married to Noela, and has 9 children. He is also a worship leader for his community. Augusto traveled to Israel in 1997 to an extended study of Biblical Culture with Dr. Randall Smith.
Danilo Cunningham: Project Ezra Administrator
Danilo attended school in Honduras and Nicaragua, and his last year in high school in Maple Valley Washington. He attended the School of Worship in Jerusalem Israel for one year, which was followed by a year as an intern in children's ministry at Hope Chapel Maui in Hawaii. Danilo now trains teachers and pastors, and handles many chores for Project Ezra. His understanding of foreign cultures make him a very effective leader and communicator of the Gospel.
Onofre Zamora: Pastor and Teacher Training
Onofre was formerly the director of all the Nicaraguan public schools along the Rio Coco. Now he is a pastor, writer, radio Bible teacher, and one of the most effective disciple makers in Nicaragua. Onofre traveled to Israel in 1997 for a study of Biblical Culture with Dr. Randall Smith, and is an able communicator of Biblical truths. He also attended the Haggai Institute on Maui for their Leadership Training course.
Onofre's Bible teaching progam, "Streams of Living Water" is heard three times weekly all along the Rio Coco.
Nutie and her husband Dave quit their jobs on Maui and came to the Rio Coco to work with Seek The Lamb in 2002. They were very effecive in discipleship with our teachers, and in their English classes. Dave died of cancer in 2006, and Nutie continued working with us in music ministry and our annual Deep Water Discipleship school held each summer in Nicaragua. In January, she married Thomas Keogh, who in the early 90's directed our Project Ezra schools. Tom has been working at the Sebring Florida Grace church with Dr. Randy Smith since 2004. Tom is a pastor who is fluent in Miskito and Spanish, and is one of the most capable communicators of the Gospel in the region
Lanie Bishop: Office Manager
Lanie resides in Vero Beach and manages all the finances, child sponsorship, coffee and bead jewelry business, as well as provide timely advice. She also pastors a small group and is actively involved in discipleship. Lanie and her husbandTim provide much support to all Seek The Lamb activities.
Laura Bagby:Author and Jewelry Designer& Founder of Seek The Lamb
Laura is the monthly writer of "Lamb Bleatings", the most popular section of our newsletter. She is the founder of "Rio Coco Beads", an innovative jewelry company which employs workers in Nicaragua to make increediblly beautiful bead jewelry. Laura is the mother of Mikaela, Lukas, Arielle & Moselle.
Sonie and Will Riedel: Construction
Get-er-done Will and Sonie are graduates of Deep Water Discipleship, and have served in Nicaragua since 2004 in various construction and discipleship projects. They ave also served as leaders of our Deep Water teams. These guys are incredible artisans!
Michael Bagby: Director of Seek The Lamb & Coffee Roaster
MIchael is the director of Seek The Lamb and actively engaged in Biblical training and discipleship. He is the founder of Rio Coco Beans, a speciality coffee import company dedicated to making $$$ for Project Ezra. Michael is the author of Living in the Spiritual World, Just Another Lump of Clay, In The Search Mode, and Echoes Into Eternity.
