Welcome to Living in the
Spiritual World!
Join a roundtable discussion of
many aspects
of life in the
spiritual realm!
Around the table you will find:
Laura Bagby: an honors graduate from the University of Hawaii with a degree in social work who has spent the past sixteen years working with the Miskito Indians in the jungles of Honduras and Nicaragua. Laura also holds a degree in cosmetology, is a certified aerobics instructor, and the mother of four children. Laura brings a unique perspective and practical experience to our table.
Dr. Randall Smith: an archeologist and Bible professor who has resided in Jerusalem for most of the past fifteen years. Randy holds degrees in Near East archaeology and a doctorate in comparative religion and is respected as one of the foremost Bible teachers in the Land . He has a profound understanding of biblical culture, history, geography, and especially rabbinical teachings, yet focuses on the practical steps of our faith. Randy will help us understand what that first-century person was thinking when he heard the words of Jesus. His comments will be preceded by “RS.”
Michael Bagby:a missionary pilot, historian, and former ice cream
“scooper” who is an honors graduate from Miami University with a degree in
history and graduated from the University of Hope Bible School. Michael flew
A-6 Intruders in the US Navy before becoming a skier in Colorado. He has been
working in Central America with the Miskito Indians since 1984 and was one of
the founders of Project Ezra, a Christian primary education project along the
Coco River in one of the most remote regions in the Western Hemisphere.
Michael’s thoughts will be noted by “MB.”
Mikaela, Lukas, Arielle, and Moselle Bagby:These young believers will pop into our conversations to ask pertinent questions and make comments.
And most importantly, The Holy Spirit:the Author of the Bible and the most profound teacher in
the cosmos. It is only His teaching and His empowering that will make any
difference in our lives. Our comments are
only an effort to provide a framework through which He will speak.
This
is not meant to be a theological treatise but simply the offering of some
practical perspectives on spiritual life.
